1. What is TC eBid®?

TC eBid® is a European-wide tendering platform. This product significantly simplifies the business conducted between companies and service providers for part or full loads in long-term contract business and makes it more economical. The advantages for you as an existing TC Truck&Cargo® customer: You can now participate in contract business and place your bids in TC eBid® free of charge.

In our case, the companies tendering should not only orientate themselves on price, but also on the quality and performance of a service provider. For this reason, the prices service providers offer are not displayed compared to one another. This prevents everyone undercutting.

3. I suddenly have several competitors. Also, my customer will probably now take the cheapest haulage contractor and no longer consider me when they place their business.

They will obtain access to numerous Europen-wide tenders from which they would otherwise most likely never have been aware. This means TC eBid® offers huge opportunities for business expansion – and with verified partners. So you are no longer dependent one one particular. An electronic tender with which several service providers can be accessed does not automatically lead to a switch of service provider. Not only does price decide, but above all, quality, dependability and a long-standing business relationship.

4. As a freight contractor, am I only allowed to bid in TC eBid® or can I also put out jobs to tender myself here?

If a TC eBid® contract has been concluded with us, every verified company, including transport carriers, can publish tenders. This means that those who wish to issue tenders pay the normal TC eBid® price: € 119.90 per month.

5. How am I to explain to my drivers that I have lost a large, well-paid fixed order because of your tool.

The danger always exists that business is lost in favour of a competitor. Price pressure is always enormous, particularly in times of recession. The loss of a long-term contract however, certainly has nothing to do with the use of an electronic tendering tool. Ultimately, the use of such a tool only ever reflects a picture of market prices. This means that if the prices go down due to recession or up in times of economic boom this is also reflected in our platform of course.

6. Can TimoCom change the tenders?

Generally, TimoCom doesn’t have the possibility of making changes at all. Only the customer can change his tender. TimoCom simply checks the logic and quality of the tenders. We reserve the right to inform customers of contradictory entries, where applicable. This is how we ensure that the quality of tenders remains on a consistently high level. For the company tendering this raises the chance of receiving useful offers.
